Crossfit was closed for Family Day today so I had to go to the school gym and do my own thing *pouty face*
Warm Up:
500 m row + typical crossfit style warm up
Workout:
100 walking lunges (50 per leg)
push ups: 15 - 15 - 11 - 12
suspended dips: 9 - 7 - 8 - 6
dumbell rows: 4X10 at 17.5lbs
thrusters: 3 x 10 at 40lbs
Stationary bike HIIT: 15 rounds of 30 sec max effort 30 sec rest
Pull ups were interspered throughout the workout, doing one or two between most exercises, for a total of 15.
Cool Down:
Layed on mat and listened to Dust in the Wind. <- was awesome.
Then about 10 minutes of stretches.
All in all a great workout. I felt great after and was really proud of everything I had accomplished. I have NO REASON to think this, but I felt like everyone was looking ta me like 'whoa that chicks STRONG, look man shes doing pull ups and weights and stuff!'. Better than the usual stressing that people are judging me for being weak. I don't know when that changed, must have been recently. It really wasn't that long ago that I avoided certain exercises or the gym altogether because I feared what people were thinking..

workout du jour
Today was AWESOME.
Crossfit:
10 min stretching warm up / 5 min rowing
WOD:
150 continuous push ups + 10 box jumps per break taken. (110 box jumps for me)
Time: 12:51
Cashout:
Max continuous sit ups: 200
Hatha Yoga:
1 hour
Hoop Yoga:
1 hour
I have this thing where I go really hard when I first commit to a goal and then taper off. Must. Not. Taper.
The gym I want to box at is right next to my crossfit studio so I harassed (re: politely talked to) some patrons I saw going in. It's only 50$ for a MONTH membership and I'm not 100% sure but I think they said that includes lessons too. You can drop in any time that it's open - it opens at 3 now that classes are back in. I have class until 7 but I'm going to call and if they're open that late I'm going to stop by, talk to the owners + trainers and if all goes well, get me a membership! So so so cool. And you can pay extra if you want to learn extra things like MMA style fighting. So. So. Cool!
I've eaten clean (so far) too.
Breakfast: 2 egg whites + a carrot
Lunch: 1/3 cup trail mix, tomato + celery + carrot in juicer.
Being truthful: The main thing that I've done wrong is smoke. I quite before the holidays but being around my family who are all smokers - I caved. I planned on quitting as soon as life started again but as I'm sure anyone out there can probably tell you, it doesn't quite work like that. Oh well :(
P.S. Hubby is gone and WOW I miss him like mad.

Todays workout was so so cool. The gym closed early so we missed it and I thought there would be no exercise today. We're staying at my parents house for the holidays though, and I thought to myself wouldn't it be awesome to move the cars out of the garage and use that as our gym? (I live in Canada and I'm sorry - today it is way to cold to work out outside). Well I was right and it was cool. And it was nice because my parents came out to see how we were doing. It was an awesome place for sparring. My jab is getting some power behind it and I'm improving my hook too. So thankful hubby enjoys working with me on it because I find boxing so, so fun. He boxed when he was younger and has a lot of matches under his belt. We're starting to work on footwork too and by the end of it I was making HIM move around the garage!
Anyways, today was an all around great day!
I did pretty good for food choices (aside from 5 pieces of licorice, which I dutifully tracked!). We'll see how the rest of the night goes :)
Todays Pump Up Song:
it came on a couple of times throughout the day today and each time hubby and I stopped to silly dance, including vulgar hip thrusts, the robot and moonwalking. All around awesomeness :)
Hope all of the Spring Chicks had as much fun as I did today! xx

Today I...
Excercise: 5k run in about 39 min (wow thats nowhere near where I used to be), about 1 min on the heavy bag just for fun! 10 pushups just to make sure I still could.
Eating: not clean. very not clean.
2 eggs, coffee with cream, terrys chocolate orange ;)
I really liked the heavy bag and will hopefully do a bit more with it tomorrow. Hoping to add in a bit of skipping and try out the Jacobs Ladder machine. I always see them using it on I Used to Be Fat and it looks really challenging. If they can do it so can I.
There is a really neat account on tumblr where they post 'reasons to be fit'. I think it is really neat what they do and how they are all empowering instead of hateful like most of the 'thinspo' I see. I love it and it is definitely worth visiting. This was the one that inspired me today:
I'm going to have to creep around the site and see if it says where they get all of those awesome pictures from.
Todays pump up song at the gym was:
Great remix of Rock Star by N.E.R.D. The original is great but this takes that and makes it run-able.
